I’ve explained my position on baths before. I do not understand how you get clean by sitting in the dirty water you have created but forgetting that, a bubble bath can be fun. (Just take a shower first) All those bubbles, the scents used to make them and, of course, the rubber ducky! They can be relaxing or romantic, they help break fever and get you all wrinkly. So I guess a bubble bath can be fun, after all isn’t that why you add the bubbles to it? Splish-Splash the day away sitting in the tub, but you really should wait for a Saturday night.
How to celebrate – Take a bubble bath. You can try a bubble shower but it’s not as effective. Remember your favorite rubber ducky!
Get your rubber ducky and fill up the bathtub, it’s time for a party! Send out invitations to the soap, a wash cloth and maybe some bubble bath. You can invite friends too but then you might have to call it something else. I have said this before, I do not understand the logic of a bath. You sit in water that you rinse your own dirt off in. In my mind you need to take a shower first before getting in the bath! But that’s just me. Baths can be soothing, it helps break fevers and it can be a party if you bring enough toys or friends with you.
How to celebrate – Take a bath. Name your rubber duck. Don’t forget the bubble bath!
January 8th National Bubble Bath Day
I am not a big bath person. I do not understand the wisdom in sitting in a bathtub when you are dirty and transferring that dirt into the water you then wash yourself with! However, if you take a shower first and then get into a bath it can be relaxing and soothing. And you can make it oh so much better by adding bubble bath to the tub. It is believed that bubble bath was originally thought to keep the water warmer. That may, or may not, prove to be the case. It served the early movie industry well to imply that someone was nude the tub of water when they were actually dressed but the clothing was covered up by the bubble bath. Which generates the idea that maybe you can take a bath and wash your clothes at the same time if you use bubble bath!
How to celebrate – Get some bubble bath! Don’t forget your rubber ducky! Invent a shower bubble bath solution.
December 5th Bathtub Party Day
So this holiday could go one way or the other. You can make
it very innocent by putting every bath time toy in your tub with you. Or you
can make it a little more adult by adding real friends to your tub. Now I have
to admit, taking a bath does have some health benefits to it, it is relaxing
and can melt away a day filled with stress. I just sort of look at a bath as
swimming in a lake. You take all the dirt with you that you are trying to get
rid of, sit in it, and then call yourself clean. Maybe take a shower first. The
day was created by Wellcat.com.
How to celebrate – Throw a party in your bathtub! Gather up
all your bath time toys and don’t forget your rubber ducky! By some bubble bath.
This is a great day! Particularly because yesterday we were out honoring rocks which probably made us dirty so today we can wash it all away by taking a bubble bath! There’s nothing like sitting in that tub full of bubbles that were actually clean before you got in it!
Now I do understand that a bubble bath is soothing. I am not exactly sure why but I will admit it is. There is something about sitting in a tub of hot water watching bubbles float by that relaxes us, makes us feel one with the universe because we all know, bubbles make up a large majority of what the earth is covered in.
And we are owed that right to sit there and do nothing while the bubbles cleanse us with their magical abilities. A good bath is generally accompanied by wine and rose pedals which clearly make it better. Add a few candles, maybe some chocolate and the world is a much better place. Or at least the world doesn’t matter for a little while.
We can dream about finding rocks, solving life’s mysteries and think of all the good times to come… while we wallow in our own dirt and pretend we are getting clean.
How to celebrate – Take a bubble bath! Find a waterproof book to read while you soak.Don’t forget your rubber duckie!
As I have stated before, I do not totally understand the concept of a bath. If you are taking a bath because you want to get clean, it makes no sense to me at all. Whatever dirt you have accumulated during the day you transfer to the water as soon as you sit down in the tub. Hence, when you are done, and rise up to get out of the bath, you will carry a certain amount of that dirt back on you. Just look at the ring around your tub when the water drains out to prove my point.
I do understand the idea of the bath for infants. First off, they either can’t stand yet or they can’t stand for very long. And I suppose even as they get older they like to play in the water. I guess this is what we call good clean fun!
I even understand it for animals, who are probably having to be restrained while they are bathed. I have never met one that will take a shower on their own. And naturally if you get in there with them you may need a bath to sooth those muscles you have strained.
I even understand the relaxation felt when sitting in a hot tub of water. Athletes use it to relax and help massage those bruised bones and pulled muscles. Adding a little aromatic therapy can be a really good idea as well. However, if the purpose is to get clean then you will need a shower afterwards, before or both! The bubbles do help, I’m not exactly sure why, but they do.
Now when you add a little champagne, candles and some bubbles to your bath I begin to get an entirely different picture. Add a few chocolates, some romantic music and two people, already clean from taking a shower, the idea changes completely! The peek-a-boo effect is fun and I suppose it could still be categorized as having a little clean fun!
How to celebrate – Make your own good reason for a bubble bath. Try taking a bubble shower! Plan a massive bubble bath with the entire family, including the animals, dressed appropriately of course.
