February 17th Random Acts of Kindness Day

What goes around, comes around. Today is a day that we should celebrate every day of our lives. It is simple enough to do. Just be kind, whether to people or animals isn’t as important and why not both! It will come back to you, sometime, some place.

It can be as simple as waving hello to someone, taking a homeless person a sandwich or taking your dog for a walk somewhere you don’t normally go. You never know what might happen or how it might affect someone. it might bring them out of depression, change a bad mood into a good one or just make them feel special if only for a moment. Sometimes that moment is a that is required.

Well today is set aside as that day you go out of your way to make someone else’s day a little better. You can go back to ignoring it tomorrow, but then… why?

How to celebrate – Give a random act of kindness to a stranger today. Do the same for someone you know. Wait for that special feeling you get when you have done something nice for someone else.

February 17th Random Acts of Kindness Day

We’ve been here before, we’ll be here again, and we will hopefully be here in the future. Today may be one of the most meaningful days of the year. Doing random acts of kindness for someone, anyone, everyone.

Random Acts of Kindness normally costs you nothing more than a little time and yet the rewards are very high. You have helped someone, normally a person you don’t even know, and made their life easier and filling you with pride in yourself for doing it. A win-win.

When it comes down to it, we all have dreams, we all have feelings, and we all occasionally need a helping hand. We gain nothing by standing by and doing nothing, and if you pay-it-forward it will come back to you somewhere along the line.

Maybe it’s helping an elderly person across the rod (just make sure that’s where they want to go first). Maybe it’s helping someone who has dropped their groceries, maybe its someone who needs help changing a flat tire, maybe it’s someone who just needs a caring human to listen to them for a while. The reason doesn’t matter, its just giving someone the time to let them know you care enough to be there for them.

How to celebrate – Keep an eye out for someone who might be able to use a random act of kindness today. Go to a shelter and offer to volunteer. Send someone a note reminding them how awesome they are.
