Do you believe in the Occult? Many do, many take it seriously, many to some lesser degree and some not at all. Astrologers are considered to be a part of the occult as is Alchemy. Witches and Warlocks are in the cult, in fact any group following something out of the ordinary or believing in a world of things not clearly visible to everyone. That actually covers a lot of territory. The main difference is based on what society deems to be dangerous and what it doesn’t. The most recognized symbol of the occult is, perhaps, the Ouija board. If you don’t want to tempt fate, don’t play with it… the occult is not a game.
How to celebrate – Determine what you feel is a part of the occult and what is not. Be careful of what you believe in and what you don’t. Know the difference in what you consider fun verses something that needs to be followed.
If you are left handed, today is your day! It was created by Dean R. Campbell of Left Hander’s International in 1976. Finally a day to to celebrate being left handed after centuries of being thought of as witches and worse. In fact, in the 1600’s if you were left handed you better have hid it. For some unknown reason, I always wanted to be left handed, I thought it was cool, so I guess that’s why I am right handed (I definitely am not cool). Some of the great artists, thinkers and sports figures are left handed, or southpaws.
How to celebrate – Be proud if you are left handed. Be proud if you are right handed. Be proud if you are ambidextrous!
I’m not sure this is a day you should actually celebrate, who knows what mischief you might find yourself in! That said, more people spend time in the occult than you might realize. If you read your horoscope every day you are actually participating in the occult. It’s not always as dark as it seems, but the intent is the same. The occult is the shadier side of life, predicting the future is included in that. Astrology studies the future, something no one can really predict and believing in it can cause you to be concerned about things you need not worry about or ignore things you should watch out for. It can be fun to pretend but don’t take it too seriously.
How to celebrate – Read your horoscope. Try a Ouija Board. Forget today exists!
This is a dark day. I know there are many people out there that believe in the occult. Personally, I believe it is a very dangerous thing to believe in and an even more dangerous thing to practice. To believe in and tempt devils and demons into your life is to invite the dark side of life, and after life.
It’s fun at Halloween to play frights and scares of the after life but to invite them into your life and practice the dark arts is another story altogether. Your soul is what matters most, and your soul is what you are most likely to lose. Those I have known who were into cults never benefited from them, gained anything or met others into the arts that did them any good.
None of us know for sure what follows life here on earth. The idea of wandering it forever is not very appealing to me. The torment of keeping evil thoughts in your head can only lead you something bad. Something like this that begins as a curiosity generally ends in an obsession.
But we can’t ignore it either. Whether it is real or not, it is dangerous. If I could offer one piece of advice, don’t mess with something you can never fully understand.
How to celebrate – Don’t celebrate today. If you know anyone practicing the occult try getting them some help. Do not tempt evil, you can’t win.
