July 4th National Country Music Day

It is fitting that National Country Day and Independence Day are celebrated on the same date. Many Country Music Songs are very patriotic. Not to be cinfused with International Country Music Day, which is celebrated in September. It was created by the Country Music Deejay Association in the 1950s to honor “The Father of Country Music”, Jimmie Rodgers. The genre has become so popular they now have venues to honor many Country Musicians, the Grand Ole Opry and the County Music Hall of Fame.
